Water testing, is one of the most important aspects of the entire treatment process. We consider our water testing, with the utmost importance - this provides the 'benchmark' or 'starting point' for the design process in any water treatment project. Sea water is relatively simple to analyse, as there are less parameters to consider. Sea water analysis for a desalination project is usually tested for the basic parameters such as salinity levels, turbidity, TD'S and micro biological matter. Average sea water in the pacific is approx 28,000- 35,000 ppm salinity. Ground water is an entirely different ball game. Ground water, spear water, bore water and river water, must be tested thoroughly. Systems are then designed to suit the exact requirements, based on this analytical information. Be aware of design consultants who do not insist on a comprehensive water analysis, prior to your project consultation.
