Bore Water and Spear Water Testing - Our approach to water testing

Firstly we evaluate water quality to allow us to start working on the best solution for your water source. Some complex bore waters may require us to start with an accurate water analysis to show its individual make up. We need to evaluate what you are trying to achieve with your water. Only then, can we recommend the appropriate solution of water treatment to match the bore analysis and the intended use of the water.

pH 5.5 units 6.5--8.5 units x
TDS 229 mg/l 500 mg/l
IRON 7.4 mg/l <0.3 mg/l x
MANGANESE 1.1 mg/l <0.2 mg/l x
HARDNESS 65 mg/l 50 mg/l x
CONDUCTIVITY 471 us/cm2 1000 us/cm2

Dear Bore Owner

Your quality bore driller has informed us that you have had a water bore drilled by them in recent times and suggested that we make contact as you may benefit from the bore and spear water testing services from Global Water Solutions. We are specialists in all facets of water quality testing. Ground water almost always contains high levels of contaminants that can limit it's uses and these levels vary widely from one bore to another. Global Water Solutions would like to offer its services in testing and reporting on your water quality, whilst giving you options to improve it for a wider range of uses. As a new bore owner you can take advantage of a great offer from Global Water Solutions for a limited time. (Offer expires 31/12/2008)

 Global Water Solutions will:

  • Conduct our bore or spear water analysis
  • Provide a written report of the analysis results (24 hours)
  • Provide a clear description of possible quality issues
  • Translate this into recommended limits of use for this water
  • Give options to improve this water to unlock new possible uses
  • All this for only $85.00 + G.S.T.

Example of our full spectrum water analysis

Full spectrum water testing, is recommended for large scale projects.

Water testing is crucial for any installation, bore and spear water quality (ground water ) can change dramatically over time, due to rises and falls in the water table. Aquifers can alter due to heavy rain or a lack of it. Bore water may change in it's chemical make-up over time, resulting in the need to change or adjust the treatment process to maintain end product quality. Here at Global Water Solutions, we offer ongoing support and regular quality testing to ensure your water is being treated correctly throughout the entire life of the installation. Full spectrum water testing, is the most comprehensive test available for your water.

What is full spectrum water testing?

This process tests your water for all heavy metals, trace elements, bacteria, dissolved chemicals and other harmful substances that may not be found in a basic test.

How do you carry out this test?

A sample of your water is analysed with a machine known as a 'Spectrophotometer' in our Laboratory. This unit uses a visible range and also an Ultra-violet range, allowing for very detailed information and a complete and thorough test. The accuracy of these units allows for testing, not only water, but many other substances also. Waste water, boiler water, cooling water, drinking water, river water, beverages, foods, chemicals, paint and pharmaceuticals to mention a few.

We recommend having your bore or spear water tested for the following, at least.

  • Salinity Level
  • Nitrate
  • pH Level
  • Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)

Testing for the following, is recommended if your bore or spear water, has not been tested in the last 5 years. Or for any, brand new bores.

Full spectrum bore or spear water test includes the following elements:

 pH level, Lead, Copper, Arsenic, Nitrates, Iron Levels, Manganese, Hardness, Sulphate, Conductivity, Dissolved Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide(ppm), Total Dissolved Solids(ppm), Saturation Index, Sodium Absorbtion Ratio(sar), Alkalinity(ppm as CaCO3), Sodium(Na),Potassium(K), Calcium(Ca), Magnesium(Mg), Hydrogen(H0, Ammonium(NH4), Ammonia(NH3), Bicarbonate(HCO3), Carbonate(CO3/2), Phosphate(HxPO4x), Chlorides(Ci), Flouride(F), Silica(Si), Boron(B), Cobalt(Co), Iodine(I), Molybdenum(Mo), Selenium(Se), Tin(Sn), Vanadium(v), Zinc(Zn), Aluminium(Al/mg/L), Barium(Ba), Berylium(Be), Bismuth(Bi), Cadmium(Cd), Chromium(Cr), Germanium(Ge), Gold(Au), Lithium(Li), Mercury(Hg), Nickel(Ni), Platinum(Pt), Silver(Ag), Strontium(Sr), Titanium(Ti), Tungsten(W), Uranium(U).

Full spectrum testing provides you with peace of mind, and and a thorough understanding of your ground water. This test also determines how the water source should be treated and what it may be used for after the treatment process. This is why we encourage bore and spear owners to conduct regular tests.
